Rayan Daniyal

Managing Director and Strategic Brand Counsel


Rayan Daniyal is widely referred to as the BrandDoctor and is regarded as a man of many talents. He is a branding and public relations practice leader with more than 20 years of experience accumulated from his time with several MNCs. In addition, he is also a performance coach, motivational speaker, author, publisher, broadcast veteran and community activist. 

Best known as Singapore Malay TV strongman, Rayan launched and spearheaded both free-to-air and cable stations as Vice-President for MediaCorp and Channel Consultant for StarHub.


In the communication field, Rayan acquired his craft from global industry leaders such as Burson-Marsteller, Ogilvy & Mathe and Dentsu. He has provided counsel for more than 50 international brands before heading his own agency TAG which was ranked as top 10 local PR firm in 2003-2004.


In 2015, TAG has been renamed Rayan Daniyal Consulting and focuses on branding, rebranding and debranding as well as brand risk management. Rayan has chaired regional professional conferences and lectured on subjects such as Media Law and Social Marketing for foreign universities and professional institutes. In his spare time, he accepts invitation to speak and provides training on Personal Branding, Body Language and Customer Service.


In addition, Rayan is also the Director of the Asian Centre for Brand Leadership which now runs Asia Brand Academy, Singapore’s first and only ‘branding school’. An active community leader for more than 25 years, he was a member of the Business Times CEO Club and co-founded the CEO Superior Network and UMMALINE, the Muslim-friendly pro-learning professional social media app.


He holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Griffith University where he came top in cohort and a Law degree with Honours from University of London. For his active service in community works, Rayan also received sponsorship to study MSc in Forensic Psychology at Leicester University.

Tom Potzman

Regional Brand Strategist Director, Jakarta


Tom Potzman has nearly 30 years’ experience in brand development and marketing with broad-based skills in strategic planning, corporate identity, conceptualization and creative direction. He has worked across the Asia-Pacific region for MNCs such as DDB, Dentsu, Grey Advertising and McCann-Erikson, first as a copywriter and then as Creative Director.


He was the youngest Creative Director of a multinational advertising agency when he arrived in Singapore in 1989.

Later, he founded his own agency, Ad Venture, which in 1994 was named as the “fastest growing agency in Singapore” by Advertising Age and won several international awards for its creative work.


At Dentsu Singapore he was tasked with developing complementary and equally important offerings in customer relationship management, digital marketing and public relations so that the agency could provide integrated brand communications for its clients.


In fact, the public relations division was later spun off to become TAG (now Rayan Daniyal Consulting).


He was also Southeast Asia Brand and Marketing Strategist for Bedrock Brand Consultants headquartered in Oakland, California, USA.


Tom has also been an accomplished entrepreneur having been a key player in several successful business start-ups.


During his career he has worked with clients across the business spectrum and has developed particular expertise in automotive, financial services, hotels/hospitality and tourism sectors.


Tom believes the essence of successful branding is to create and build an organic and visceral platform that connects and grows with the consumer on different levels. This ensures not only brand longevity but also a higher return on investment for brand owners.  

Lt Col (Ret) Bob Cheah PPA

Business Development Advisor


Col Cheah commence his military career as an Engineer Officer in the British Armed Forces on a British Army Scholarship and graduated from the School of Military Engineering in the United Kingdom. He later joined the Singapore Armed Forces and helped raised two Engineer Battalions. He retired from service as Head of Foreign Liaison at Mindef HQ where he was responsible for political, bureaucratic and military protocols.

In 1992 he join Singapore Technologies Engineering as Senior Marketing Manager overseeing the promotions and marketing of defence-related products across seven countries – Hong Kong, Italy, Ireland, Canada, Czech Republic, Malaysia and Thailand.


In 2000, Col Bob was appointed as Executive Director of StrategicLab Communication, the PR arm of AGI Communication and member of ICOM Global Network. He successfully provided strategic counsel and cross-country culture management in Corporate and Government Relations as well as Business Development.


Col Bob then joined Informap Singapore Holdings and IMP Survey as their Chief Operating Officer from 2005 to 2014. As COO, he was responsible for the business operations and strategic business development for Asia Pacific. Around the same period of years, he was also the President of Orient Industry Investment Limited and Director, Business Development for Multikraft Biotech. Throughout his private sector involvement, Col Bob maintain his BC Consultancy as its Founder and Principal.


In Feb 2018, he joined Asia Brand Academy and Rayan Daniyal Consulting as the Business Development Advisor.

Ari Tumijo

Head, Digital Strategies


Mr Ari Tumijo joined Rayan Daniyal Consulting (RDC) as Head of its Digital Strategies. He brings with him 5 years of digital marketing experience and is tasked to help develop the solutions for clients seeking to improve their digital presence and brand equity in the social media space. In addition to account servicing, Ari is also involved in business development for Brand Capital, a subsidiary brand of RDC. He has a Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering and spent his early career years in F&B Management and Semi-conductor industry.
